Nilphamari-2 is set to advance through better education, healthcare, and local employment. Priorities include youth and women empowerment, profitable agriculture, and infrastructure development alongside environmental protection.

Shahrin Islam Tuhin, popularly known as Tuhin, is a Bangladeshi politician, engineer, and entrepreneur. He is the nephew of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia. He grew up on the Rajshahi University campus in an academic family, later completing his BSc in Engineering from the University of Zambia and serving there as a university lecturer. Returning to Bangladesh in the early 1990s, he became active in politics and development work in Nilphamari. Tuhin served as President of the Nilphamari District BNP and was elected Member of Parliament (MP) from Nilphamari-1 in the February 1996 national election.Following periods of political persecution and exile abroad, he has returned to national politics with renewed commitment and is now a BNP candidate from Nilphamari-2, with a strong focus on education, youth empowerment, and development-centric politics.

BNP politician and former Member of Parliament for Nilphamari-1 (elected in February 1996). Later contested June 1996 and 2001 elections. Served as President of Nilphamari District BNP and played roles in BNP’s central executive committee. After living in the United States for about 17–18 years, returned to Bangladesh in 2025 and resumed active political involvement. Appointed Convener committee of the Association of Engineers, Bangladesh (AEAB).

My mission is to serve the people of Nilphamari-2 by ensuring quality education for all, creating jobs for our youth, and establishing smart, accountable governance. We are committed to empowering women, supporting sustainable farming, improving healthcare, and building modern infrastructure—all while protecting our environment. Our goal is to reduce unemployment and make farming more profitable so that families can stay together and find work locally. We aim to transform Nilphamari-2 into a modern hub for agriculture and industry.
Nilphamari-2 is one of the most promising areas in North Bengal. It is a land rich in farming potential and home to honest, hard-working people. To me, Nilphamari is more than just a constituency—it is my family. My mission is to serve every farmer, student, mother, and child who dreams of a better future. I envision a prosperous Nilphamari where our youth, women, and farmers can live with success and dignity.
